Homemade Hemp Milk - only 2 Ingredients!
This is one of the easiest recipes, and one of my favorites! I am always checking labels on my packaged food, and that doesn't stop for my "mylks." Almost all the nut milks in grocery stores, restaurants, or cafes, have added preservatives, sweeteners, and gums. What these things do for the product? It thickens it, so it feels and tastes closer to dairy milk. Sugar obviously makes it sweeter, + more addicting. Nuts and seeds go bad quickly, so they add preservatives to combat the travel time from factory to your local grocery store.
I'm not knocking store bought milks, in fact there are some great ones! But, making your own milk not only lets you control what goes in it, but it saves a single-use carton or two, too.
This #Hempmilk recipe is so great because it doesn't require straining! Which can be the grimiest part of making your own nut milk.
You can also flavor your nut milk however you want! Some of my fave ways, are adding a date for sweetness. Or, Seasonal flavors are fun too; Use vanilla and peppermint, or pumpkin spice! Get creative with the add-in flavors.
The hemp milk will last about 4-5 days in the refrigerator
